LINDY Electronics announced today its latest USB VoIP Phone. Once it is connected to the PC, Skype users will be able to benefit from the phone’s auto launch functionality that launches the popular VoIP software as soon as the handset is picked up. It is compatible with other VoIP software such as MSN and Yahoo Messenger

“VoIP can sometimes be a barrier for technophobes, particularly if they are just presented with a headset and microphone,” comments Andrew Ingram, Product Manager of LINDY Electronics. “Our two piece VoIP phone makes users feel like they’re using a normal telephone and the auto launch for Skype makes VoIP so easy that even your granny could use it.” The LINDY USB VoIP Phone comes with a 1.3m USB Cable and can be desk or wall mounted. It requires no soundcard, eliminating the need to unplug speakers or other audio equipment before use. In addition to dialling numbers, the keypad allows you to navigate through the Skype software and also has a quick dial function. Compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista and with four separate ring tones to choose from, the phone is ideal for using VoIP both at home and in the office. The LINDY USB VoIP Phone, is available now, RRP £21.99.
