Actress Katherine Heigl helped jumpstart Palm’s new initiative with The Princess Project by donating a gown she wore in the film “27 Dresses.” As part of the partnership, Palm has announced plans to give a new Palm Centro smartphone to the first 27 consumers who arrive at select screenings of Heigl’s new movie with a prom or bridesmaid dress in tow.
The Princess Project is a nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that provides prom dresses to underprivileged girls. The select screenings to gather donated dresses will take place Jan. 10 in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
