RoadTunes is a feature rich, fully interoperable Bluetooth handsfree package for Personal Navigation Devices (PNDs) and in-car systems. Designed to provide OEMs with a faster time to market, RoadTunes boasts a less than six-week average integration time and at $6 is available from today at the industry’s lowest cost.

CSR’s example design features full hardware and software components, including source code to allow designers to fully customise their end designs. Based on CSR’s market leading BlueCore5-Multimedia silicon, RoadTunes is a low power, fully interoperable design with a powerful RISC and DSP processor. The design incorporates both CSR Clear Voice Capture (CVC) and third party echo cancellation technologies. BlueCore5-Multimedia also features Bluetooth v2.1 for simple pairing and best in class audio CODEC with a signal to noise ratio of -95dB.

CSR has designed RoadTunes to allow OEMs to integrate Bluetooth connectivity quickly, enabling a faster time to market with an easy Plug-In concept. Incorporating Bluetooth Embedded Control Interface (BECI) guidelines, RoadTunes allows for easy integration via a simple interface/API. With almost no host MIPS required, RoadTunes takes the stress out of incorporating wireless connectivity in embedded and aftermarket automotive devices. The average time to integrate RoadTunes on a device is less than six weeks and does not require prior in-depth Bluetooth experience.

RoadTunes allows the simultaneous pairing of up to eight Bluetooth devices, and controls safely a vast array of functions through numerous voice prompts. As it also offers multiple profile support (including A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, PBAP, DUN and SPP), devices designed around RoadTunes can offer full Bluetooth connectivity including simultaneous audio, remote control of devices and handsfree operation.

In addition to allowing users to pair up to eight devices, RoadTunes also enables three-way calling and automatic reconnection on start-up. With multi profile support, RoadTunes provides users with the power to access a variety of functions including last number redial, mute, voice dialling, phone book and even call history download (SIM/Memory).

As a complete solution, RoadTunes has been tested against the highest number of phones in, or about to appear in, the market. CSR provides all of its customers with the entire list of phones that the design has been tested against.

CSR’s RoadTunes is available in packages with external Flash memory, Plug n Go, and Plug n Go AEC-Q100 (automotive qualified package).

Toyota Corolla is one of my favorite cars. Few days ago one of my friends from Virginia points me to Koons Toyota website which is the largest new Toyota Corolla dealer in Virginia and serves the Alexandria VA, Springfield VA, Falls Church VA, Arlington VA, Fairfax VA and Tysons Corner VA areas.

Today in the morning I check out Toyota Corolla Virginia dealer website and I can tell you that it is a good choice to buy a Toyota Corolla from there. Of course if you are in Alexandria VA, Arlington VA, Fairfax VA, Falls Church VA, Springfield VA, or Tysons Corner VA you can go to test drive a Toyota Corolla. Or you can browse the website for your favorite model.
On the Koons Tysons Toyota Scion website each model of Toyota Corolla has clear pictures, 360° Photos (are so cool!) from outside and inside, features details and technical specification.

When you are on the model page you have cool tools for shopping: request more info, Finance this Vehicle, View e-Brochure, Payment Calculator, CarFinder, Make An Offer, Trade-In Appraisal, Print This Vehicle, Email A Friend (I think that this last option was used by my friend to point me to this website…)
The best part is an automatic function to show up other similar vehicles. My conclusion is if you are looking for a Toyota Corolla and you live in area you should take a look at this website.

Should road users think twice about their commuting today? Road users will be more at risk of an accident today (Friday) than any other day of the week, especially now that the clocks have gone back. Known as ‘Fatal Friday Phenomenon’, statistics show that more accidents happen on a Friday, and particularly between the hours of 4pm and 6pm, than at any other time. The statistics also show that the number of accidents jumps by up to a fifth in the winter compared to the summer.

Analysis of the Government statistics – ‘Road Casualties Great Britain 2006′ – reveals that there was a 12 per cent increase in the number of car users killed or seriously injured, from 1211 in October to 1340 in November. The number of pedestrians killed during the winter months showed a greater rise, being 20 per cent higher than in the summer: 339 were killed during BST, whereas 404 died during the winter. National Commute Smart Week has aimed to encourage the wider adoption of smarter commuting, promoting more home working and more flexible working.

Kids can’t help but get excited about saving the planet when they see their own model car zoom across the floor powered by nothing but water! Fuel-cell technology is the environmentally friendly wave of the future.

The water becomes fuel before kids’ eyes as electrolysis (powered by a solar cell) breaks it into its separate components of hydrogen and oxygen, creating a gas that is then stored for use by the fuel cell when it’s time for the car to get going.

During the building process, children from age twelve can use the included 96-page Experiment Manual as a guide to performing thirty experiments on such subjects as the effects of direct and indirect radiation, the characteristics of a solar module, constructing and loading a reversible fuel cell, and decomposition of water in the fuel cell, plus they can design experiments of their own. The kit contains everything children need to build and experiment with their fuel cell and car (except 1 quart of distilled water).

The great winner of Concept car Peugeot contest is Mr. Mihai Panaitescu, 20, studies design at the I.E.D. Turin.

Name of the project: Flux.

Peugeot Flux Concept.
—————————-

My intention was to design a vehicle that pleases it’s occupants in every way.
It’s versatility combined with it’s sportiness and the ability to use it in different environments are in my opinion some of the vehicle’s strong points.

Either as an explorer of sandy beaches, sweeping mountain roads, or simply commuting in the city, the Flux concept embodies a vehicle that is made to please.
It’s dynamic shape and open air cockpit make it lively and fun to drive as the occupants are always in contact with their surroundings.

The name Flux was inspired by the continuous change and flow of our daily lives during work and play.
The shape also represents this flow with transitions through hard and smooth lines, between straight and curved all of which are characteristics of Peugeot.
A relatively small car (3500cm long by 1650cm wide), it runs on a slim hydrogen power plant hidden in the back along with the tank mounted under the front bonnet.
The hood and side body panels are made from plastic, polyurethane for the seats and aluminium for the mechanical parts.
The main components such as the chassis and head protection are metal.
Made up of simple body work (basic intersected volumes) the car is easily produced and accessible to everyone but most of all, it’s fun to drive.

Adding to this, the car is also a gaming hub thanks to the integrated Xbox 360 so P.L.E.A.S.E. hop in!!!

The “eXasis” is powered by an extremely lightweight, 150 bhp Weber engine driven by CO2-emission-reducing bioethanol. In view of the fact that the car weighs only 750 kg because of its lightweight plastic construction, one horsepower has to shift only 5 kg – and that is about the same as a very nippy Porsche.
