LaCie announced an economic way to add media player functionality to existing storage devices. LaCinema Classic Bridge enables users to leverage the investments already made on internal and external storage solutions, and turn them into dynamic multimedia devices. Simply connect the Classic Bridge to a desired TV, add a storage device, and play libraries of movies, music, and photos in flawless 1080p HD resolution.

The attractive and compact LaCinema Classic Bridge fits seamlessly into entertainment centers, and enables two options for adding storage. Option one allows users to connect an external USB drive to the front of the device for easy access to their multimedia content. Option two allows users to easily insert an internal hard disk directly into the device for a clean, fully integrated set-up, just like the LaCinema Classic. Users may also choose to implement both options for expanded capacity.

Content can be viewed by file category through a simple graphic selection, or users may view all multimedia by clicking the folder icon.

LaCinema Bridge works with numerous video, music, and photo formats, including MPEG4, MP3 and JPEG as well as HD-JPEG for superior viewing of images over HDMI output. An HDMI cable is included.

LaCinema Classic Bridge is available now starting at $99.99 through the LaCie Online Store or LaCie Resellers.

To help you stay close to those who matter most, Logitech unveiled its first Mac-compatible webcam with premium autofocus technology and Carl Zeiss optics: the Logitec QuickCam Vision Pro webcam for Mac. The new Logitech webcam delivers image-good detail and clarity, and video calling with iChat and Skype.

To deliver image-perfect detail and clarity, the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro webcam for Mac combines Logitech’s premium autofocus technology with Carl Zeiss optics. The new Logitech webcam uses a voice coil motor for its autofocus system, instead of a stepper motor. Focusing is fast and fluid – crisp even in extreme close-ups only 10 cm from the camera lens. Logitech’s autofocus system compensates for changes in image-edge sharpness and refocuses images in less than three seconds. And through its exclusive collaboration with Carl Zeiss, Logitech ensures that the lens meets the world-renowned Zeiss standards for design and manufacturing to achieve superior sharpness in a compact, lightweight design.

The 2-megapixel sensor helps the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro webcam for Mac capture video images in high resolution. It is assisted by Logitech’s RightLight™2 Technology, which enables the webcam to adjust intelligently in dim or harshly backlighted situations.

When you and your loved ones use the new Logitech webcam with iChat or Skype, you can enjoy VGA-quality video at up to 30 frames per second – four times as sharp and twice as smooth as any other video-calling solution – at no additional charge.

The new Logitech webcam is also plug and play right out of the box, so you can make a video call immediately – no software required. When using your webcam to capture video to store on disk or send to friends, the QuickCam Vision Pro records sharp video clips in the 720p high-definition (HD) video format (960-by-720 pixels).

Complementing the style of your Mac computer, the new webcam for Mac computers presents a black-and-silver profile with a prominent built-in silver microphone.

The Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro webcam for Mac is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in July. The suggested retail price in the U.S. is $129.99.

Neuros OSD connects to your TV or home theater system and allows you to archive all of your DVD, VHS tapes and video content.

Plug the Neuros OSD into your TV, and connect it to your DVD Player or VCR. Your movie will be safely and legally transferred into a digital library! Just plug your video camera into the Neuros OSD, push play, and your memories are digitized.

With the Neuros OSD, you can store hundreds of hours of video in one location (like an external hard drive), get rid of those bulky cases, put an end to DVD damage, and instantly access any of your videos with the push of a button on a remote. You can even transfer your video content to a portable device (video iPod, PSP, mobile phone, etc.) to watch on the go, or email your home movies to friends and family.

The Neuros OSD records in the standard and open MP4 format compatible with a wide range of devices. Videos recorded with the Neuros OSD can not only be played a TV set using the OSD as a player, but can also be viewed on PC/Laptops and popular PMPs like the iPod/Nano/iPhone, the PSP, smartphones etc…

Buy Neuros OSD Media Center

The good news: The Neuros OSD exists as a collaborative effort between community developers and dedicated full-time Neuros internal developers. There are three main areas where everybody can help: documentation, implementation, and testing, all defined broadly.

In terms of documentation, you are not limited to just document what has been done, you are welcome to document what should be done as well, although the latter is usually done in the form of discussion.

For implementation, you are welcome to experiment with the OSD Gamma units and contribute your new designs, also feel free to download Neuros OSD source code and add new features or fix bugs.

The MP3 player can be programmed to record a radio station at a specific time. I don’t know why it has only 256 MB of internal memory (flash memory is so cheap). The MP3 player removes from the radio for remote use and can be used as a voice recorder.
