Google Inc. today unveiled a new way for consumers to purchase an Android mobile phone, a web store hosted by Google. The company is also launching the first phone offered through this new model, called the Nexus One, which combines the latest in hardware from HTC Corporation with the newest Android software. The goal of Google’s new consumer channel is to provide an efficient way to connect Google’s online users with selected Android phones.

The online experience of the web store has been designed with a focus on simplicity.Through the web store found at www.google.com/phone, consumers can buy the Nexus One without service (meaning any GSM network SIM card can be inserted into the device), or purchase the phone with service from one of Google’s operator partners. As new phones come to market through this channel, consumers will benefit from the ability to match a phone of their choice with the service plan that best meets their needs. Operator prices and plan details will be featured on the site.

Solo, the world’s smallest digital relay, commonly called a repeater, is available now from RF Window. This plug-and-play digital relay delivers high-quality cellular phone coverage to indoor, poor signal areas using a consumer-installable relay system that mounts on walls, ceilings, or a stand.

Solo is the newest and smallest addition to RF Window’s line of in-building ICS (Interference Cancellation Systems) Digital Relays at only 16cm tall by 15.5cm wide.

These in-building units provide high quality voice and data coverage anywhere – from SOHO to large commercial buildings and even underground. Because of the small size of the Solo ICS Digital Relay, its service antenna is embedded and its donor antenna may be embedded or external depending on the RF environment. The Solo supports W-CDMA, HSPA, CDMA, and EV-DO with GSM support on the roadmap.

Full product specifications are available on the website, www.rfwindow.com, along with details about the full product line of RF Window ICS Digital Relays which scale from 13 dBm to 20-watt outdoor systems. RF Window continues to innovate and work with its operator customers’ deployment requirements to achieve cost-efficient QoS for voice and data services.

RF Window is exhibiting at CTIA Wireless 2009 in booth #6938

W510 is Samsung’s first mobile phone with ‘bio-plastic’ made from natural material extracted from corns. Samsung has been making an effort to develop more renewable and eco-friendly material compared with common plastic produced from petroleum.

Moreover, when producing W510, Samsung did not use any heavy metals, such as Lead, Mercury, and Cadmium, and applied water-soluble coating.

Samsung F268 with all the accessories including charger and headset does not contain BFRs(Brominated Flame Retardant) or PVC.

In addition, Samsung F268 has an alarm function to encourage users to unplug their charger when the devices are fully charged. The product also is following the Energy Star requirements as well, which is strict energy-efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy.

Both W510 for the Korean market and F268 for the Chinese market will be launched in June.
